Odisha is accelerating its industrial footprint following a major agreement signed during Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s UAE outreach mission. Collaborating with the International Holding Company (IHC) and the Adani Group, the state has greenlit an exploratory framework for 14 new projects valued at Rs 2.10 lakh crore. The sweeping investment portfolio targets high-growth domains, including metal downstream industries, critical minerals, rare earths, and tourism infrastructure. Alongside these new proposals, officials advanced plans for a major integrated aluminium project, securing land in the Rayagada district for an upcoming alumina refinery to bolster the state's manufacturing economy.
